Trump Card
Player Dealt $50,000 Win
Baltimore Woman Takes Home Top
Prize
(Baltimore) – A lucky mother-of-two didn’t want to get her hopes up
after scratching a winning $50,000 Trump Card scratch-off
ticket. In fact, she didn’t believe her ticket was a winner until it
was verified at Lottery Headquarters.
The 24-year-old bought the Trump Card scratch-off along with
several other tickets on Monday and scratched them in the car with
her boyfriend. “He told me it was a winner, but I didn’t believe
it,” said the Baltimore player. So, she went back inside the store
where the cashier also confirmed her ticket as a winner. “I kept
reading the ticket over and over, but it just didn’t seem real,” she
said.
Even in the Lottery’s Claim Center, the winner was still in denial.
“There was a man before me who thought he won more than he did and I
thought the same thing would happen to me,” she sighed. Fortunate
for her, it didn’t and her $50,000 win was confirmed.
The young woman, who is a nursing assistant, said she is going to do
some shopping with her winnings and try to move. She will also use
some of the money towards a trip to Wildwood, New Jersey. The
winning ticket was purchased at Wabash Discount Liquors located at
3741 Wabash Avenue in Baltimore.
This is the second $50,000 Trump Card win in the last couple
of days. A Frederick winner also claimed the scratch-off’s top prize
this week.
