Sleepless Night for
Blackout Bingo Winner
Forestville Man Takes
Home $30,000 Top Prize
(Baltimore)
– A 48-year-old contractor tossed and turned Wednesday night and
could hardly fall asleep. That’s because sitting not too far from
his bedside was a $30,000 winning Blackout Bingo scratch-off
ticket.
“It was a
rough night,” said Juan Nunez. “I finally had to take a sleeping
pill.” The winner bought three Blackout Bingo tickets during
the day on Wednesday as he was getting off work. He scratched them
all in the store and it was the third ticket that revealed the
prize. “I didn’t know what to do,” said Juan. So, he had the cashier
confirm the win for him. “I was so excited,” he smiled.
That night
proved restless for Juan, but he was able to make it through to
claim his prize on Thursday morning. Originally from the
Dominican
Republic, Juan said he is going to use his winnings towards a trip
home, where most of his family still resides. He said he would also
treat his son to a trip to Disney and pay some bills.
The winning
ticket was purchased at Riggs Grocery located at 5405 Kenilworth
Avenue in Riverdale.
