82-Years-Young Woman Wins $50,000 Bonus Match 5 Prize

           
(Baltimore) – The lively, 82-year-old winner took three buses to arrive at Lottery Headquarters today to claim her $50,000 Bonus Match 5 prize. Smiling broadly, she said that she plays the Lottery every day.  “I can afford to play,” said the woman. “I buy Pick 3, Bonus Match 5, Mega Millions and scratch-offs too.”

The widowed woman was at the grocery store on Monday and decided to pick up her tickets for both Monday’s and Tuesday’s drawings. Tuesday’s Bonus Match 5 ticket proved to be the big winner. “I got very excited when my numbers kept coming up,” she said.  “When I saw I got all of them, I called my sister-in-law right away. Then I called my tax man.”

A retired Western Electric employee, she loves bingo-type games. She also likes to visit casinos occasionally and enjoys spending time with friends a couple times a week. She has no definite plans for the money. “I’m working on that,” she said, laughing. The winning ticket was purchased at Belair Food Market located at 3213 Belair Rd. in Baltimore.
