Hyattsville Woman Wins Some Cool Cash
Scratches $50,000 Cash Casino Top Prize

(Baltimore) – Juanita Hardy knew her luck was about to change. Her son was just pre-approved for a home and her friend was about to purchase a new home as well.  “I knew that some good fortune was coming my way,” said the lucky winner.  To her delight, she and her fiancée, Tony, won $50,000 playing Cash Casino.   “I couldn’t believe it,” said the mother-of-two. “We were shocked and excited.”

Juanita said that she is an avid player of Lottery scratch-offs and will occasionally play Pick 3, Pick 4 and Mega Millions.  She won $250 a couple of years ago playing Pick 3.  However, this is her biggest win to date.  “At first, I thought I won only $5,000 but then we looked at the ticket real close,” said Juanita.  It was then that they discovered some extra zeros on the ticket. That meant a bigger win, so they proceeded to Lottery headquarters. 

With her winnings, Ms. Hardy plans to pay off some bills, purchase a new home, give some money to her two children and of course, prepare for her wedding.   She is currently employed with Safeway where she has worked for the past 15 years.  “I am so thankful!  Now we can move to a new house,” said Ms. Hardy.

The winning ticket was purchased at Hillendale Beer and Wine in Hyattsville.
