Wins $30,000 Playing Keno 

(Baltimore) – One ticket was enough to take home a big win for a Maryland Lottery player. The retired housekeeper has been playing Keno for six years. She usually goes to the store along with one of her daughters to buy a ticket. When she gets home, she checks her ticket’s numbers against the winning numbers on the Lottery’s website.

“I played the eight spot the day before and I didn’t win anything,” said the lucky winner. “I said, ‘I’ll try it again.’” After checking, she discovered she won $30,000. “It was just my luck and I hit.”

The 74-year-old is the mother of four and grandmother of 11.  She is not sure what she will do with her winnings, but she will continue to play Keno.

The winning ticket was purchased at the Belvedere Plaza Liquors in Baltimore.
