Cool $50,000 Win for Baltimore City Man
Wins Jack Frost Scratch-Off Top Prize

(Baltimore) – The 57-year-old was on his way home from work when he made his regular stop at Steve’s Market Brokers and decided to purchased four Jack Frost scratch-offs.  That’s when the Baltimore City man won the $50,000 top prize.

“I always get my tickets and go home to scratch them,” he said.  He was upstairs in the bedroom relaxing when he decided to scratch his tickets.   When he got to the third ticket, he realized he was a big winner.  “I was surprised, it was a blessing,” he said.  As soon as he realized he won, he called his wife upstairs to tell her the good news.  “You’re kidding,” she said in disbelief.

The recycling plant employee has worked at his current job for 11 years.  He has been stopping at the neighborhood pawn shop for the past year to purchase his Lottery tickets.  Once he realized he had a $50,000 winning ticket, the lucky player put it in his safe until bringing it to Lottery headquarters.  “I still can’t believe it,” he said. “I’m still in shock.”

The father of one daughter, three stepchildren, and twelve grandchildren said he plans to use the money to put his 36-year-old daughter in a new nursing home and buy a new car.  The winning ticket was purchased at Steve’s Market Brokers on Monument Street in Baltimore City.
