Third Time’s the Charm for Bowie Man
Pharaoh’s Gold $50,000 Top-Prize Winner

(Baltimore) – An avid Lottery player bought three scratch-off tickets on Saturday and won $50,000 on the third ticket he scratched. The win came at a great time for the Bowie man.  “I was living paycheck to paycheck,” he told Lottery officials.

The car salesman, who has worked at Auto Showcase for a year, stopped at the gas station on Saturday, after eating with his mother.  The 19-year-old purchased one Cash Casino and two Pharaoh’s Gold tickets. He scratched the Cash Casino ticket first and won $20.  The last Pharaoh’s Gold ticket he scratched was the $50,000 winning ticket. His mother looked at the ticket a few times before realizing that he really did hit the jackpot. The winner is splitting his fortune with his mother.  “This is a blessing for me and my family,” he said.

The young man says he plans to save his winnings, invest and one day open a car detailing business. The winning ticket was purchased at Cherry Hill Sunoco located at 12040 Cherry Hill Road in Silver Spring
