Joker’s Wild Scratch-off Yields $50,000 Win

(Baltimore) – Indian-born Amit Sharma has been living in the Unites States for about two years. He’s been playing scratch-off tickets since he came to the country and the most he had won was $500. But, that changed today when he cashed in a $50,000 Joker’s Wild scratch-off top prize. 

Amit, who has a toddler and a daughter on the way, wants to provide a larger home for his family.  Now, that dream can become reality. “I am so thankful,” he said. “This money will be put to good use.”

The winner’s wife bought the ticket for him over the weekend. Not only will the couple use the money for a down payment on a house, they will also spend a little for an extra special Valentine’s Day. The winning ticket was purchased at MP-Town Center Chevron located at 12301 Middlebrook Road in Germantown.
