Fallston Man Wins $250,000
Mega Millions Prize
Second-Tier Winning
Ticket Purchased in Harford County
(Baltimore)
– For the tenth time since July, a Maryland Lottery player has won a
$250,000 second-tier Mega Millions prize. The 63-year-old
winner matched all five of the numbers from Friday night’s drawing
except for the Mega Ball. The winning numbers were 14, 19, 20, 43,
53 and Mega Ball 07.
The lucky winner
stopped by the gas station where he purchased the ticket on
Saturday. “My son came out and told me that a winning ticket was
bought there,” said the winner. “I was going to wait to check my
tickets until Wednesday, but after that, I figured I better check
them sooner.” The electrical project manager checked the Lottery
website the next day and saw that he was the winner.
The grandfather-of-three is going to set some money aside for
his grandchildrens’ education, put a new engine in his boat, and
save the rest. The winning ticket was sold at Forest Hill Exxon,
located at
2019 Rock Spring Road in Forest Hill.
There was no
jackpot winner on Friday night, making tomorrow night’s drawing
worth $16 million. Maryland’s most recent Mega Millions
jackpot winners include Bunky Bartlett from Dundalk, who split a
$330 million jackpot with three others on August 31st,
and a 78-year-old Essex woman and her daughter winning $27 million
on September 5th.
The multi-state Mega Millions game is played in 12
states, including
Maryland,
Georgia, Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York,
Ohio, Virginia, Washington, Texas and California. Mega Millions
drawings can be seen on Tuesday and Friday evenings at 11:22 p.m. on
WBAL-TV, Channel 11 and at 11:30 p.m. on Maryland Public Television.
