New Mega Millions Players Win Big
Hagerstown Couple Take Home $250,000 Second-Tier Prize

(Baltimore) – Dixie Sines, a crew chief at Wendy’s, and her husband David, who does construction, just started playing Mega Millions about a month ago at the urging of David’s friend. “He said to give it a try. That it was fun,” said David. It became even more fun when the couple checked their tickets last Saturday and discovered they won $250,000.

“We had the first five numbers,” said Dixie. “I just couldn’t believe it.”  They didn’t know how much they won, so they took the ticket to two stores to find out.

Dixie
and David plan to use their winnings to buy a new home. The winning ticket was purchased at the Sheetz store, located at 16420 National Pike in Hagerstown.

The multi-state Mega Millions game is played in 12 states, including
Maryland, Georgia, Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Virginia, Washington, Texas and California. Mega Millions drawings can be seen on Tuesday and Friday evenings at 11:22 p.m. on WBAL-TV, Channel 11 and at 11:30 p.m. on Maryland Public Television.
