Baltimore Man Claims $250,000 Mega Millions Prize
Misses $75 Million Jackpot by One Number

(Baltimore) – A lifelong Baltimore resident became $250,000 richer after Friday night’s Mega Millions drawing.  The 52-year-old matched all of the numbers drawn except for the Mega Ball to take home the second-tier prize.

While buying Pick 3 and Pick 4 tickets on Sunday, the clerk told him that their location sold a $250,000 Mega Millions winning ticket.  After playing his numbers, the winner decided to go home and check his Mega Millions ticket.  The father-of-two, who was in disbelief when he saw those five numbers on his ticket, told his wife immediately.

The win couldn’t have come at a better time for the former warehouse manager who was laid off last year.   His plans include paying bills and helping his kids.  “I am not going to be extravagant with the money,” the winner said.  “I’m going to make it last.”

The winning ticket was purchased at E-Z Convenience on Hillen Road in Baltimore.  Another second-tier winning ticket from Friday night’s drawing was sold in Hagerstown.
