Mega Millions

Mega Millions is an enhanced version of the BIG GAME, featuring semi-weekly multi-million dollar jackpots and lots of cash prizes. Minimum jackpots are $12 million and just keep growing and growing until somebody wins! Plus, there are many more cash prizes to be won each week from $2 to $250,000.

How to Play Mega Millions

Playslip Method: Just visit any participating Maryland Lottery retailer and ask for a Mega Millions playslip. Select five numbers between one and fifty-six from the top portion of each playboard. Then select one Gold Mega Ball number between one and forty-six from the bottom portion. Each Mega Millions game play costs $1.

Quick Pick Method: Or, if you'd prefer, the computer will randomly select your numbers. Just mark the QP box - for Quick Pick - for one or both of your playslip areas.

**In some cases, fixed prizes may be paid on a par-mutuel basis and will be lower than these published prize levels. Refer to the Mega Millions Official Game Rules for a detailed explanation.

*The JACKPOT prize will be divided equally among multiple winners. When a prize is claimed, Jackpot winners will have the option to receive their Jackpot prize in a single “cash” payment or in annuity payments. A Jackpot prize will be paid as an annuity over 26 years unless the winner selects the “cash” payment method within 60 days after the ticket validation date, even though you may have 182 days after the drawing to claim your prize. Variations in the announced Jackpot may occur.

Drawings

Mega Millions drawings are held every Tuesday and Friday evenings and are broadcast at 11:22 p.m. on WBAL-TV11 and 11:29 p.m. on Maryland Public Television (MPT).
